Mammal
No other mammal will stop you in your place like a skunk will. They have very distinct color to warn you that they are harmful because they spray a odor that makes a person smell and it is really hard to get rid of.
HabitatSkunks like to live in burrows in the ground and nest in them. the females mate and make a nest to raise their young . the babies then grow up and move out.
Predator Prey RelationshipsThe skunks can be eaten by large carnivores like wolves, coyotes, and foxes. while they will eat almost anything they are kind of like scavengers.

The sprayBelieve it or not the skunks are not actually out to spray you. They will try a series of movements to ward you off before they will actually spay you. This is because it requires a lot of energy inside their bodies to produce about a tablespoon of the liquid. The musk is discharged from the glands through two ducts (tubes for carrying the fluid) that are hidden within the rectum when not in use. As the tail is raised, these nozzle-like ducts stick out for service and can be shot separately in any direction at any height. Don't think you are safe from the spray just because the skunk’s rear is pointing in the other direction. Although it usually turns to fire, the animal can shoot to the right, left, front, and back without turning around. It also may rear up on its front legs, as if doing a handstand, and spray forward over its head.

The daily life of the skunk in Wolf Prairie |
What Skunks eatthe skunk get his food by digging around and going though the trash to find some rotten food the you thew out last week
|
A skunk in the wolf prairie would be able to find nests of birds to munch on and also find the trash around the school to get into for food.
They would also try to find mates so they can reproduce in their burrows under ground. Although skunks have been seen in our prairie, they don't want to be near you. If you see one, stay quiet and move away to a distance where you can safely watch its behavior. Live and let live!
